Aletta Bezuidenhout (born 17 May 1949 in Nairobi, Kenya) is a multi-award-winning South African actress. Primarily, she works in theatre and has taken home several awards over the years.
She is also a filmmaker, playwright, and director and is best known to television viewers for appearing in Gods, an M-Net drama series.
She is also popular for appearing in the productions Weerskant die Nag, Committed and Spoon, Lament for Koos, and Mother Courage.

Aletta was born on 17 May 1949 in Nairobi, Kenya. Her father was learned. He worked as an engineer. She also worked for the former Transvaal Council of the Performing Arts (Truk).
Education
Her father understands the importance of education and ensured she has a good academic background. She studied for a BA in Drama at the University of Cape Town (UCT).
Husband
Aletta has been married three times. She first exchanged her marital vows with the musician Colin Shamley. Later, she got married to fellow actor Tertius Meintjes and Anthony Perris.
Career
After her academic pursuit at UCT, she began to work as an actress at Kruik. Relocating to a new location, she found a new job at The Company and the Market Theater.
She has worked for several regional councils for the performing arts. It is worth mentioning that she worked for Truk en Kruik. Bezuidenhout later began training other actors.
She made appearances in The Space in 1970 and was involved in The Resistible Rise of Arturo UI, Dusa Stas Fish and Vi, and Treats. The Company, a production company she founded, was established in 1974.
