Chichi Letswalo (born in Alexandra, Gauteng) is a South African television personality. She appears on-screen either as an actress or presenter.
She kicked off her career with The Wedding show and gained ground at the national level. She was a co-presenter on the SABC3 reality program in 2003 alongside Ed Jordan.
She was born and raised Tebogo Chichi Letswalo in the township of Alexandra in Gauteng, South Africa. In 2007, she flew to New York and studied at a performing arts school. She came back to the country after 5 years.
Following her return to South Africa were several roles in television shows. She is known to be friends with the actress, businessperson, and TV personality Bonnie Mbuli.
Before her break, the much-loved actress attended and spent two years at the Akademie vir Dramakuns.
She was discovered at the time producers of The Wedding show canvassed with shoppers in Rosebank mall in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Her expectational performance stood her out among other hopefuls and impressed the producers. After her interview about her ideal wedding, she received an offer to be a presenter instead.
She has also appeared in popular South African soap operas including Backstage and Zandi Mbisi in Generations. Chichi also made it as cast on the SABC1 drama titled Tshisa.
The television personality is best known for being a co-presenter at the SABC3 reality program The Wedding Show.
The actress is standing firm on her decision to stay unmarried and without children. She makes plans for the future but children and a husband are not included.
The outcome of her friend’s marriages may have influenced her decision to avoid being a Mrs.
In an interview session, she shared that she saw all her friends get married but are divorced.
She also had to empathize with them through the painful process. This made her realize that the path of marriage wasn’t for her.
I don’t want to get married personally, ever. I don’t believe you need to get married in order to be a professional, to have a family or to be happy. I don’t want to get married and I don’t want children. It is a personal choice and a promise I have.

She did not deny enjoying a relationship neither did she fail to acknowledge that she loves being in love. All ChiChi wanted was the freedom to pursue her dreams.
